Concert Michelin Centre Sunday March 29/26

To BFDB Band Members and Guests

Re BFDB concert this Sunday
Please check the attached– updated logistics which contains concert location, program, dress code, and timing for arrival and Sound Check.(Note 1 pm).
I have also attached Andrey’s band seating arrangement–I would be lost without this myself.

It also contains scheduling for the people helping with moving equipment and setting up chairs, etc. [32″ tymp successfully moved on Wed by Alexander and Jason–thanks, guys!!  If you could reverse this after the concert, at the fire hall, we would all be appreciative.]

Don’t hesitate to tell me what I have forgotten or what is confusing.  My thanks to each and all.

Re Jimmy’s Funeral:
All guests are welcome to the band if they wish and are able to.
This will be at the Baptist Church on 564 Glen Allan Drive, Bridgewater
Saturday, March 28/26 at 2 pm.

For those playing:
Rehearsal for the funeral: Friday, Mar 27, 7-8 pm Friday, at the Fire Hall.  Music should be available then.  Bring your own BFDB Hymn sheets–these will be made available for any guests.
Music Stands:  Following the rehearsal, please assist in carrying all BFDB music stands to the Red Tacoma with Silver Cap.  I will bring these to the funeral service and onward to the Sunday concert.

For Saturday’s Service honouring Jimmy:

  •     Stands….will be in the Red Tacoma by the door (replace on your way out please).
  •     We will set up in the church on one side of the sanctuary.–I suggest at latest by 12:45-1:15 pm Sat,  but not before 12:30.
  •     15-20 minute prelude to start around 1:30 pm.  This could be Amazing Grace–arrangement played in concert a couple of times. (by all musicians          present)
  •     2-3 hymns from our normal rehearsal warmup hymn collection (all musicians present) (tentatively:  a couple of Aberystwyth #2, Abide with Me #19,     Crimond #7, Kingsfold #5, Deep Harmony #8.  We will not have an arrangement for I’ll Fly Away at this time, which Jimmy asked for.  However it will      be sung by family members.
  •     Dixieland (selected group) to play in place amongst us others. ( Just a closer walk with Thee)
  •     Stands as needed: will be available from my truck parked near the door hopefully–Red Tacoma with silver cap. Replace what you take after the            service please.
  •     Dress for Sat:   wear either a dark suit/sport coat/dress/pants and top, or for those who have it, your Class A Uniform with medals, etc.

Thanks!
